About Trax Contracting Group
We're a civil sitework subcontractor in Lenoir City, Tennessee. We take raw ground to build‑ready for the developers and commercial GCs building across Knoxville and East Tennessee — and we self-perform nearly all of it.
Who We Are
Since 2021, Trax Contracting Group has been the sitework sub behind subdivisions, lot developments, and commercial pads across East Tennessee. Our mission is simple: deliver high-production sitework that sets the standard for quality and progress.
Most sites get built by a stack of separate subs — one for clearing, one for grading, another for utilities, another for erosion control. Every handoff between them is a place for the schedule and the budget to slip. We built this company the other way around: one contract, one schedule, and one crew that owns the dirt from the first tree down to the final stabilization.
That means the same team cutting your pads is the team setting your storm structures. Nobody is waiting on somebody else's mobilization. Nobody is pointing at the last trade when a grade doesn't check. When something goes sideways on a Trax site, there's exactly one phone number to call — and somebody picks it up.
We're a subcontractor by trade and a partner by preference. The builders who use us once tend to hand us the next one before it's out of entitlement.

What We Do
We don't broker sitework. These are our crews, our iron, and our responsibility — which is why we can price them as one number and run them against one schedule.
Plan review, constructability input, and unit-price budgets before the first stake goes in the ground.
Tree and vegetation removal, stump grubbing, and topsoil stripping to get raw land ready to grade.
Structure, pavement, and utility demolition to clear a site for redevelopment.
EPSC installation and maintenance to TDEC CGP — silt fence, check dams, inlet protection, stabilization.
Cut/fill balance, GPS machine control, moisture conditioning, and pad certification.
Storm drainage, sanitary sewer, and water distribution — self-performed as one accountable scope.
How We Work

Preconstruction
We take off the civil set, read the geotech, and price the whole site as one number. Scope letters spell out what's in and what's not, so there's no gap to argue about later.

Mobilize
Erosion control goes in first, then clearing and the haul roads. We set up the site so the crews behind us aren't fighting it for the next six months.
03
Production
Grading and utilities run against one schedule and one two-week lookahead, with a foreman on site who can make the call without waiting on a phone tree.
04
Close Out
Testing, punch, and as-builts delivered with inverts. Final stabilization and NOT filed. We hand you a site that's ready for vertical and a file that's ready for the owner.
How We Operate
We Self-Perform
Clearing, grading, utilities, erosion control, and demolition are our crews and our equipment — not a stack of subs we're marking up. When something needs to move faster, we move it ourselves.
Straight Answers
If a quantity is off, a detail won't build, or the schedule is at risk, you hear it from us early — while there's still time to do something about it. Bad news doesn't age well on a job site.
Built To Spec, Documented
Testing, inspection, and as-builts happen as the work goes in, not scrambled together at closeout. The paperwork should confirm what's in the ground, not argue with it.
Done Once, Done Right
Rework is the most expensive thing on any site. We'd rather set the grade stakes twice than cut the pad twice, and our crews are paid to care about the difference.

We're based in Lenoir City and run a typical radius around Knoxville. Staying tight means our crews sleep at home, our iron isn't living on a lowboy, and we can put somebody on your site the same day you call. Outside this radius? Still worth asking.
