The Work

What you'll be doing

Lay storm, sanitary sewer, and water main to line and grade
Set structures, manholes, inlets, hydrants, and valves
Bed and backfill pipe to spec, and confirm inverts before closeout
Support pressure, mandrel, and bacteriological testing
Follow trench safety requirements — shoring, boxes, sloping, and access

Requirements

What you need

2+ years laying pipe on commercial or subdivision utility work
Comfortable working in and around open trenches and excavation
Able to read plan and profile sheets
Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

A Plus

Helps, not required

OSHA 10 or competent-person trench safety training
Experience tying into live municipal systems
Laser and pipe-grade experience
