Take sitework packages from takeoff and bid through buyout, production, and closeout.

The Work

What you'll be doing

Take off earthwork, utilities, and erosion control from civil sets
Build bids and scope letters that are clear about what's in and what's out
Buy out material and manage subcontracted scopes
Run the schedule and two-week lookahead with the superintendent
Handle submittals, change orders, pay applications, and closeout

Requirements

What you need

3+ years estimating or managing civil sitework projects
Fluent reading civil plans, geotech reports, and specifications
Experience with takeoff and scheduling software
Valid driver's license — this role gets out on the sites

A Plus

Helps, not required

Familiarity with Knox County and East Tennessee municipal requirements
Agtek, HeavyBid, or similar earthwork takeoff experience
Field experience before moving into the office
